Being woefully behind the times (because that seems to be the way I run), I recently started watching Supernatural on Netflix. It is the type of show I have to watch when I'm home alone because DH doesn't like spooky/creepy shows like this. Hell he can generate his on nightmares without help from some TV show/movie. So watching it is a bit sporadic at best, but I have managed to make it through the 4th season. And my overriding thought?

How the HFIL is this showing going into its 10th season?

I mean really, the story line is meh at best and pretty ridiculous most of the time. And I'm having a very hard time finding any interest in the two main characters. Personally I find them incredibly annoying. I seem to have more interest in the secondary characters and either they don't show up much or they end up getting killed off. I'm also not sure if their nods to fandom are acknowledgement or mocking.
But I've made it through season 4 and I have come up with an idea of how season 5 should have started. I say should have because I'm going to be 100% positive it did not begin this way.

Lucifer should be a woman, in a business suit and quite annoyed at the entire apocalypse idea. I mean she's trying to manage Hell here; she doesn't have time to play tit-for-tat with the angels who must be bored and have nothing better to do than taunt the humans.

Like I said, I can say pretty safely that I doubt season 5 stated this way, but it might have made for an interesting story line.
